Our Projects
Hardwick Hall - Bess of Hardwick's bedchamber
This temporary exhibition marked the 400th anniversary of Bess of Hardwick's death.
We used high quality reconstruction illustrations, simple robust interactives and text designed to inspire conversation to create a provocative and stimulating display.
The exhibition showed how the bedroom may have been furnished for the first lady, Bess of Hardwick, in the 1600s and the last, Evelyn, Duchess of Devonshire, in the 1930s. It gave visitors an insight into the work that goes into reconstructing a period room.
