We are now helping to deliver the training element of the Interpretation Plan that we wrote for the New Forest: Our Past, Our Future Landscape Partnership. The Plan identified modern communication skills as essential to conservation bodies, particularly in a much-visited National Park in densely populated southern England. It proposed a diverse training programme with training a suite of local trainers at its core.
So far we have run training on planning interpretation projects and ‘talking about the New Forest’ in informal situations. A panel of trainees trainers is now working with us to plan new workshops for the autumn.
David Mount, one of our longest-established and best associates has joined us to run the training the trainers strand and provide extra encouragement and insights.
