Mentoring is especially valuable during a period of change such as a new project or for new staff. We can work eually comfortably with senior or junior staff.
We offer mentoring in visitor experience development, interpretation planning, communication tools and techniques, writing for the public, project management, working with contractors, evaluation, staff training … and more.
The mentoring can involve: support and suggestions based on our experience, training inputs, signposting to comparator projects, appropriate challenges, specialist advice and a confidential listening ear, as required.
Mentoring in Ireland
Much of our mentoring work is with heritage attractions in Ireland where we work on behalf of Fáilte Ireland (the Irish Tourism Development Authority). We developed the mentoring in heritage interpretation and visitor experience for attractions with Fáilte Ireland. We have worked with more than 80 heritage attractions.
We wrote the manual ‘Sharing our Stories: Using interpretation to improve the visitors’ experience at heritage sites’ to support the mentoring process.

What people say about TellTale mentoring.
A big thank you for your time and input in my professional development mentoring sessions. I found it so useful to be able to shape the sessions to meet my needs and be challenged in a way that was creative, safe and constructive. It did wonders for my knowledge, perspective and confidence.
