The challenge

Our appraisal of the visitor experience at the WWT’s flagship site in London had been very successful. The WWT wanted something similar, but considerably smaller and cheaper, for their other centres.

Our response

We used what we had learned from the work in London to develop training and support tools for the other centres.

We ran a workshop for staff at volunteers at each centre and wrote up the results as a draft Centre Engagement Plan.

This included an action plan for developing interpretation at each centre.

We made follow up visits a year later to look at progress (which was almost always good!) and to review and revise the action plan.
