It’s been a lot of work and we are delighted with the final versions of the Tourism Interpretation Frameworks for Ireland’s National Parks. This is TellTale’s main contribution to a major Tourism Interpretation Masterplan for the National Parks that we produced in partnership with SLR Consulting, with design by The Way.
The Tourism Interpretation Frameworks identify national themes covering all the Parks and translates these into local themes for each individual Park. The National Framework sets out the importance of great visitor experiences, both for attracting international tourists and for communicating about conservation and the natural world.
The Frameworks make the case for National Parks, and other protected areas, offering visitors ‘meaningful experiences’ of natural and human heritage. They include our new model for combining big ideas (or interpretive themes) and activity to create meaningful experiences.
